In June 2009, I created this fan blog to meet Alex fans and share in my growing interest in an upcoming great actor! As of August 2009, fan sites for Alex were popping up all over, and it continues. Several moderators help me run www.asfanblog.com and I do appreciate everyone’s help! Learn more. With the close of Season 3, Alexander’s popularity is reaching new heights and we see it. Daily I accept requests for Alex fans on our Facebook page. On Twitter and Tumblr, we continue to see new faces following us and mentioning @asfanblog or reblogging info from asfb. We’re really excitied to see how many fans we’ll have in the AS FanBlog by the time Season 4 of True Blood airs in 2011!
I do need to add because I’ve been asked many times now if Alex is on Twitter, or FaceBook, or on the Internet checking out his fan sites. And the answer is No. Alex is very, very busy now with his work schedule. And I hear that he lets his management work with a few sites to send out info, photos, articles about him. Whenever posers pretending to be Alex surface on Twitter, his management works to have the page shut down. I’ve seen it happen over 3 times now. Trust me, Alexander is not on Twitter. Read more.
Our Fans
We have the best fans ever! Why? Well because they are fans of Alexander. In the AS FanBlog, fans are always posting creations (on the Facebook wall) that they have made to show their love for Alex. Our Facebook page is really the heart of the FanBlog. It’s the main community where everyone socializes, comments, and shares info. Videos, photo compilations, fan fiction, wallpapers, the list is endless. And I like to share that with everyone. I try to spotlight a fan and repost their creation to our Twitter and Tumblr sites (with permission of course) to share the love we all have for Alex.
I am Ally Thomas and I’m an Alexander Skarsgard Fan (an askars girl) and a Truebie! Since I saw Alexander Skarsgard in his first HBO series, Generation Kill (2008) I’ve been smitten with the 6′ 4″ actor from Stockholm, Sweden. It was his first presence in front of an American audience and I’ve never been the same. My grandparents were Swedish too which means I have a little Swedish blood in me, so I can see now why I have a soft spot for “the tall one” – the blonde, bluish-green-eyed Viking we now know and love. Andy yeah, you can’t tell it from my photo there, but trust me. I do have Swedish blood in me.
When I heard Alexander was casted to play Eric Northman in the HBO series, True Blood. I knew I’d soon be a Truebie. I’ve always loved vampire movies, fiction, pop culture, the whole scene so it was a given I’d be watching. I just didn’t know at the time how much I’d enjoy Alexander’s acting and how effectively I think he portrays this Eric for the series.
Since those beginning days, I’ve steadily been following Alexander’s progress. I knew then he’d become a wonderful actor, and movie star I do hope, and I stand by that today. As an Alex fan, I appreciate how cool Alex is about his success. He refuses to adopt a huge ego about his success, and still becomes shy or blushes when female fans or celebrities for that matter gush over how tall he is or how handsome. Alex knows how Hollywood operates since he’s the oldest son of Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgard. Four of Stellan’s six children including Alex are actors. I admire that Alexander is very kind and respectful to his fans. A trait, I’m sure, he learned from his father. Alex never hesitates to take photos with his fans, sign autographs, and step across the red carpet to say “Hello” and shake hands or receive hugs from fans, before going in to any Awards shows. It’s amazing!
When I’m not in the FanBlog, I’m off at work where I do a lot of writing, photography, and web design. I do have an interest in animal and wildlife conservation so you may see articles on the site related to Alexander’s charity, IFAW. Any questions, comments, email me at ally at allythomas dot com. I check it rather often.
Thanks for being a part of the Alexander Skarsgard FanBlog!

Hi Ally, I wonder if you can help spread the word.
Some of us fans would like to see AS in a WWII biopic of Swedish billionaire playboy Axel Wenner-Gren. We want it to be an epic period piece. As of now its just a fantasy but a lot of people like the idea so I decided to share it with you guys.
We have been playing around with casting choices if such a movie were ever made like…
Charlize Theron, Helena Mattsson and Gretchen Mol as leading ladies.
Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson in supporting roles.
We want to generate HUGE feedback on this issue so I need you to leave your comment HERE

under the wish movie article. The more the merrier. We want to generate 100+ “Yay” comments just to see how popular the idea can get. I hope some of you will adopt it as a project like I have and spread the word. Alexander needs to head up a major motion picture, one that would be great for his career.
What do you think? Do you want to see this movie made? Remember, at this juncture the movie is wish-casting. Alexander Skarsgard is not attached and is not even aware of it….
Not yet anyway.
